Anacoco Lake Description
Anacoco Lake is located just west of Leesville La., and is south of La. Hwy. 8. The lake was created in 1951, when a dam was built across Anacoco Bayou. After the dam was completed the lake was stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish. The impoundment is approximately 2,600 acres in size. Anacoco Lake provides commercial recreation areas, as well as public and private facilities.
