Bayou Plaquemine Description

Bayou Plaquemine Brule (pronounced "PLA-kuh-min BROO-lee"[needs IPA], translated to "burnt persimmon bayou"[1]) is a waterway in the Mermentau River basin of south Louisiana. The bayou is 75 mi/121 km long and is navigable for 19 mi/31 km of the lower course. [2]
