Robber's Cave Tour
Went to Robber's cave last weekend. Took in Carlton Lake, Wesley Wallace and a couple of strip pits and ponds. The lakes were pretty good, the best cats seemed to be in Wallace. The strip pits and ponds in the eastern area are excellent. Caught a lot of bass, a few cats, plenty of bluegill. BTW, the folks at Robber's Cave Park are very nice and helpful, the park is clean and well done.

Wesley Wallace Catch

- Location Details: Fish the bottom even though you are in a brushy area, worth it
Carlton Lake Catch

- Location Details: Lots of perch for the kids, cats down low and fight well esp. on light tackle. Bass in the early mornings in the marsh area.
Strip Pits on Hiway 2 Catch

- Type of Fish: Bluegill
- Bait Type: Nightcrawler Check Prices
- Bait Details: Catch bass all day, early morning on top water lures, later on buzzers and plastics. Cats and bluegill on worms.
- Location Details: Several strip pits to choose from. Some you have to watch if closed or not.
Farm Ponds Catch

- Bait Details: Use topwater lures in the morning and night, I like a beetle spinner or a white grub during the day.
- Location Details: There are many farm and stock ponds in the area, ask permission and keep them clean, they will usually let you fish them.
Huge Cats Catch

- Bait Details: Caught a huge blue on a small outfit that I was blugill fishin with. Had that pole since I was 8 with a little mitchell reel and 10lb test. Used a nightcrawler at 6ft
