The very upper end of the lake is heavily wooded with moss covered cypress trees.
Located in the northeastern part of the state 8 miles west of Wisner. It is 4,000 acres in size and is 1 mile wide and 10 miles long. The lower end of the lake is open and available for fishing and recreational boating. The very upper end of the lake is heavily wooded with moss covered cypress trees and good for only fishing. There are several launches on the lake.
