Got out of work early and hit the river again and did alright. Same baits as the otherday, suspending jerkbait and spinnerbait. With the jerkbait i jerked it lightly and waited about 20 second between. After about 15 seconds of a pause the line started to go and I set the hook. A beauty just under 5 pounds. Second bass hit a spinnerbait retrived as slow as I could, 3.3 pounds. Very rewarding trip

Hit the river from shore after work and caught my first bass on rod and reel for this year. What a relief. Caught 2 decent bass, first one was a chunky 2.5 on a suspending jerkbait, and #2 was 1.5 on a spinnerbait, dual colorado blades worked real slow with a reaction innovations skinny dipper as a trailer. Those are the best spinner and swim jig trailers on the market!

Hit the pond nice and early and kind of had my way with the bass for the morning. I caught 8 bass, biggest was 4.5 by my scale. Another was just under 4 and others were a healthy 2 plus. Awesome time, was even able to catch them on a hard swim bait which I don,t have much experience with. Its a Jackal Girdon and the strikes on this thing were explosive. It was responsible for the 2nd biggest fish of the day and others. Biggest mama was on a jig and others on a crankbait. Its days out like this that I dream about!

Hit the water about 6 witha a mission to catch a smallie, having heard they were some where I was fishing. Caught many nice largemouth, biggest 3 pounds. Finally got my wish at 10 on a dropshot off a rock pile. I knew right away because that sucker shot out of the water about 3 feet in the air like nothing I,ve ever seen.

Hit the spot and noticed the water temp was 15 degrees lower than the last weekends. Thought it might be tough and for the most part it was. I did catch 4 bass, keepers. Biggest was 4pds 3oz. Great fight, he got himself all caught up in the trolling motor but I managed to lip him. Also caught 2 dinks and 2 piceral. Considering the cold weather and slow bite, it was a good day.

Hit the spot and caught a few right away, pitchin worms to the edge of pads. I thiught it was gonna be a good day, and I was right. Possibly my personal best. I played with some different baits for a while and didn't catch anything more so I switched to this years confidence bait, trusty buzz. The madness stsrted soon thereafter, and when it was all done I had boated 16 bass, 12 of them good keepers. Average was 2 pounds, biggest 2pnds, 15 oz. Waited for the 5 ponder but he didn't show. A important part of ythe technique was to throw a senko a any lazy swatters who only slapped at the buzz but didn't get hooked. Caught 5 this way.

I got the distinct pleasure of fishing on my boat with a great friend and boss, brian. Going out by myself and having a good time is great but its just better with this guy aboard. The morning started out slow and we got a little nervous, I can always get them to eat a spook in the morning but nothing early. Then I switched to a spinner and caught the biggest of the day, a 3pound 2 ounce fish. Great fight too. Also coaxed one out of the pads with a frog, 2 pounds 6 oz. Then we switched up to buzzbaits and all hell broke loose. We caught 11 fish between us and nothing under 2 pounds. It was awesome, days like today is what I get up at 4 in the morning for and spend exorbitted amounts of money on gear for. Today was special because Brian is the guy to get me into fishing a few years ago (my wife probably hates him LOL) and we got to have a great time.

Hit the charles after work despite the impending downpours. Was pitching a spinner bait into cover and letting it flutter down This pig hit it before it ever hit bottom. Great fight. This fish was as wide es it was long. Of course the damn batteries in my digital scale were dead but I,ve caught eniugh 5 pounders to know this is at least 5 or over.

Hit the spot after work. Thought that a spinnerbait would be the ticket but no takers.Tried slow crawlin a jig but still nothing. As the sun set I remembered hearing that bass would take a buzzbait weeks before topwaters become effective. This was true and a nice 3.5 pounder came up and got it.
